In 2023, UNICEF Uganda’s social media platforms demonstrated a notable good performance in users reached (16,581,985 unique users) and impressions (62,990,757) obtained across all the platforms. UNICEF Uganda got 1,370,341 people engaging with the content you shared on all your social media platforms which is quite low compared to the number of people reached.

FACEBOOK

Facebook followers experienced a slight increase in 2023 with November having the highest number of followers at 216,438. You had more males (76%) aged between 25-34 years majority (64%) being Ugandans from Kampala engaging with your content. In 2023, you utilized different media types including photos, videos, graphics and infographics, stories, and links on your Facebook page.

INSTAGRAM

Instagram experienced a continuous decline in the number of followers. This decline started in April and since then, the growth is not steady with more declines in followers. On Instagram, UNICEF Uganda engaged more males (69%) aged between 25-34 years majority being Ugandans. Here, you also utilized photos, graphics and infographics, stories, reels, and links.

X

X experienced a steady and continuous increase in the number of followers. Despite a temporary decline in April, the follower count continued to increase. This is one of the top platforms that has maintained an increase in followers and engagement. Here you utilized photos, videos, graphics and infographics, and links.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn maintained a steady increase in the number of LinkedIn followers throughout 2023. Your average following was got from males aged between 25-34 years majority being Ugandans.

YouTube

YouTube subscribers gradually increased every month and just like the other platforms, the top users were males (60%) from Uganda between the age of 25-34 years.

In general.

UNICEF Uganda got its highest number of likes on X, followed by Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and lastly YouTube.
